Pre and Post Eyelash Extension Care

Please read before booking your eyelash extension appointment.

Pre-Lash Etiquette
  • DO Shower 24 hours before appointment. Don't forget to wash your hair!

  • DO bring your own iPod if you want some Marvin & Chardonnay.

  • DO arrive early to your appointment as we may have another scheduled client we wouldn’t want to delay.

  • DO bring your contact lens case so you can take them out before we start! (If applicable.)

  • DO let us know if you have any allergies or excessive shedding, so we can better service your lashes.

  • We do provide oil-free cleanser if you come with make-up on. If you're in a hurry, try to come in with clean eyes to save time.

Post-Lash Etiquette

USE ONLY:

  • Water-based eye make-up and remover.

  • A clean wand to rearrange your lashes after showers, washing your face, and on the regular. Keep them dry!

  • Cloths only, no cotton swabs or pads

  • Please see a trained lash technician for removal

  • ✅ Safe to Wear After Lash Extensions

  • Oil-free moisturizer (keep away from lash line)

  • Water-based serums (avoid oils, heavy creams near eyes)

  • Sunscreen (oil-free, gel, or mineral formulas)

  • Light, oil-free foundation or tinted moisturizer

  • Powder-based makeup (blush, bronzer, highlighter)

  • Oil-free concealer or BB cream (applied carefully under eyes, not on lash line)

  • Water-based eyeliner (felt-tip/liquid pen) — if absolutely needed

  • Powder eyeshadows (pressed or loose, applied gently)

🚫 Best to Avoid

  • Oil-based skincare or makeup removers (they break down the lash adhesive)

  • Heavy eye creams right on the lash line

  • Mascara (especially waterproof)

  • Creamy eyeliners or gel liners (hard to remove, can tug at extensions)

  • Waterproof makeup products near the eyes

👉 General rule: Oil-free, gentle, and water-based = safe. Oils, creams, and waterproof = not safe.

  • Lotions, creams, and OILS!

  • Sleeping on your lashes.

  • Picking and pulling at your lashes. Use the wand!

  • Direct or indirect heat.

  • Cutting or trimming lashes.

  • Steam, sweat, swimming, or any water contact in the first 24-48 hours.

  • Manual lash curlers. They may damage your lashes.

REFILL:

  • Maintain your lashes' fullness by coming in for a refill. On average, a refill is needed every 2-3weeks. Our adhesive bonding is made to last up to 6 weeks.

On the Day Of

  • This is a very delicate art that takes time. Here is an estimation of how much time you should clear from your schedule:

    • Full sets: Approximately 1.5 - 2 hrs.

    • Russian Volume sets: Approximately 2 - 3 hrs.

  • During your appointment, we will ask you to relax and enjoy the ambience we’ve created for you to enjoy your lash extension experience. Having your lashes done is very much like getting a manicure or pedicure - the process is calm and very zen. We will ask you to close your eyes during your session. Collagen eye patches and tape will be applied as we start to isolate your natural lashes and apply extensions. Cell phone usage is not permitted as your eyes need to be closed during the whole process. No calls or texting (unless you can text with no sight). Please do relax and enjoy!
